Welcome back to Monday Makeover!
Tonite we are featuring a custom project for a wonderful lady who was remodeling a Victorian home and was looking for a vintage bedroom set for her daughter.
Here is a before photo of the nightstand. You can see that although it was in good shape, the yellowed oak color just had to go.
We decided on Old White with a clear wax, then a dark wax wash. She wanted it to be softer and streakier, so after clear waxing, I used ASCP Dark Wax mixed with mineral spirits. I brushed it on, working in small area, then wiping off with a wet rag.
We kept the original hardware, and just sprayed it a hammered silver.
The Old White is a great contrast to her dark floors and really fits the period of the home.
Have a great week!
Becky
